Tick Control

Tick Control That Puts Your Family First

Invicta Pest Control was founded by a family of five, including two adopted children who came from a home with serious pest infestations. That experience stuck with us. We started this company with a simple conviction: every family deserves to live in a clean, pest-free home. That same conviction shapes how we handle tick problems for homeowners across the Raleigh, NC area today.

Ticks are not just a nuisance. They carry Lyme disease, Rocky Mountain spotted fever, and other serious illnesses that put your family and pets at real risk. Over-the-counter repellents only go so far, and a single untreated yard can harbor hundreds of ticks through the warm months. Our team brings 20+ years of hands-on pest control experience and a Board Certified Entomologist on staff to identify tick species on your property, locate breeding and harborage areas, and treat the problem at its source.

How We Eliminate Ticks on Your Property

Tick control takes more than a generic spray-and-pray approach. At Invicta, we treat tick problems the way our Board Certified Entomologist would treat them at his own home. We start by identifying the tick species present on your property, because different species behave differently and require different strategies. Lone star ticks, black-legged ticks, and American dog ticks are all common in the Raleigh area, and each one calls for a specific treatment plan.

We focus on targeted lawn applications rather than fogging, which reduces drift and keeps product where it belongs. We never use granules on the exterior of your home because we do not want your kids tracking them inside on their shoes or your dog picking them up on their paws. Every product we use is premium grade with longer-lasting efficacy, so we can get results with fewer applications overall. That is better for your family, your pets, and the environment around your home.

TICK INSPECTION

We start with a thorough inspection of your yard and the exterior of your home. We check tall grass, leaf litter, wooded edges, mulch beds, shrubs, and any areas where wildlife may travel. Inside, we look for signs of tick activity around pet bedding, entryways, and baseboards. This inspection tells us which tick species are present and where they are concentrated, so we can build a treatment plan specific to your property.

INTERIOR TICK TREATMENT

If ticks have made their way inside your home, we apply crack-and-crevice treatments in the areas where they hide and breed. We target baseboards, pet resting areas, and any gaps or voids near entry points. Our approach keeps product out of reach of your children and pets while still addressing the problem at its source. No broad spraying, no puddles on the floor.

EXTERIOR TICK TREATMENT

Outside, we apply a targeted lawn treatment to the areas where ticks live and wait for hosts. We treat the perimeter of your yard, shaded areas, tree lines, garden beds, and any transition zones between your lawn and wooded areas. We never fog, and we never use granules. Once the treatment dries, typically in about 10 to 15 minutes, the yard is ready for your family and pets.

WHAT OUR CUSTOMERS HAVE TO SAY

More Than Just Tick Control

Tick control is just one piece of what we do. Invicta Pest Control offers recurring pest defense on a triannual schedule, which means three visits per year instead of the industry-standard four. Fewer applications, better products, and stronger results. We also handle mosquito control, termite protection, wildlife exclusion, crawl space encapsulation, and more. If something is bugging you, we can help.

We invest in premium, longer-lasting products so your property needs fewer treatments per year. Our triannual schedule costs less over time and puts fewer chemicals in your yard than the standard quarterly plans most companies sell.

Service

If ticks come back between your scheduled visits, so do we, at no extra charge. We also offer same-day or next-day scheduling for urgent situations. Your family's safety is not something we take lightly.

Trust

We started this company because of our own kids. Two of our five children were adopted from a home with serious pest problems. That personal connection to family safety drives every decision we make, from the products we choose to the way we treat your property.

FAQs

Are your tick treatments safe for kids and pets?
Our tick treatments are applied as targeted lawn applications on the exterior of your home, focused on the areas where ticks actually live. We never use granules, so there is nothing for your children’s shoes or your dog’s paws to pick up and carry around. Once the treatment dries, typically in 10 to 15 minutes depending on sunlight, the treated area is ready for your family and pets. If we treat indoors, we use crack-and-crevice applications that keep product completely out of reach.
No. You do not need to leave your home during a tick treatment. Most of our tick work happens on the exterior of the property. If we do treat inside, we use precise crack-and-crevice methods, so you can stay home the entire time. We just ask that pets stay in an untreated room until we finish the interior portion.
We come back at no additional cost. Our service plans include free re-treatments between your scheduled visits. If you are still finding ticks on your property or on your pets after a treatment, call us and we will come back out to address it. We are not satisfied until you are.
We typically schedule tick treatments the same day or next day, depending on our availability. During peak tick season in the spring and summer months, demand is higher, so we recommend calling as early as possible. We always move as quickly as we can to get your yard treated.
Absolutely. You can snap a photo of the tick you found and send it to us. Our team, which includes a Board Certified Entomologist, can identify the species and let you know what kind of treatment you need before we even come out. This saves time for both of us and helps us show up prepared on the first visit.
