Mosquito season in the Raleigh area runs from April through September, and it only takes a few standing-water spots in your yard to turn your outdoor space into a breeding ground. At Invicta Pest Control, we take a different approach than most companies. We use lawn-applied liquid treatments instead of fogging, which means no chemical drift into your neighbor’s yard, no unnecessary air emissions, and no granules washing into storm drains. Our team, backed by a Board Certified Entomologist and a Wildlife Biologist from NC State, targets mosquitoes where they live and breed so your family can actually enjoy the backyard again.
Most mosquito companies show up with a fogger and hope for the best. We do things differently. Invicta Pest Control holds a lawn application license, so instead of fogging (which sends product drifting through the air and onto neighboring properties), we apply treatments directly to the lawn and landscape where mosquitoes rest and breed. That means better coverage, longer-lasting results, and fewer chemicals in the air you breathe. We also skip the granules entirely, so there is nothing washing into waterways or sitting on your lawn where kids and dogs play. Every treatment is guided by real science. Our founder, Michael Gilbert, is a Board Certified Entomologist and Environmental Scientist with over 20 years in the industry, and our team includes a Wildlife Biologist from NC State. When you call Invicta, you are not getting a salesperson reading from a script. You are getting experts who understand mosquito biology and know how to break the breeding cycle on your specific property.
We start every mosquito service with a thorough walk of your property, identifying standing water, shaded resting areas, and breeding hot spots that most companies overlook.
We apply liquid treatments directly to your lawn and landscaping where mosquitoes rest during the day. No fogging, no drift, no gas-powered blowers. Just targeted, effective control.
Beyond treating adult mosquitoes, we address the conditions that keep them coming back. Our technicians eliminate breeding sites and apply treatments that interrupt the mosquito lifecycle on your property.

Invicta Pest Control is not your typical mosquito company. We are a mom-owned, family-focused business with real credentials behind every treatment. Our team includes a Board Certified Entomologist, an Environmental Scientist, and a Wildlife Biologist, so when we treat your yard, the approach is grounded in science, not guesswork.
We invest in premium, long-lasting products so we can treat less often while still delivering results. Fewer applications per year means less chemical exposure for your family and real savings over time.
If mosquitoes come back between treatments, so do we. Our technicians text when they are on the way, and we do our best to get out to your property within 24 hours of your call.
We are a mom-owned, family-focused company. We never use granules on your lawn because we do not want anything on the ground that kids, pets, or bare feet can pick up. Your family's safety is personal to us.
Yes. Our mosquito treatments are applied as a liquid directly to the lawn and landscape. We never use granules, so there is nothing sitting on the ground for kids or pets to pick up. Once the treatment dries, which typically takes about 10 to 15 minutes depending on sunlight and humidity, it is safe for your family and pets to go back outside. We recommend keeping pets in a separate area during the application and letting them out once everything has dried.
Each treatment lasts roughly 3 to 4 weeks on average, though this depends on rainfall and conditions on your property. We recommend scheduling treatments every 21 days during the warmer months for the best protection. Our seasonal program runs April through September to cover the full mosquito season in the Raleigh area.
Give us a call and we will come back out at no additional cost. Heavy rain or unusual weather can sometimes reduce the effectiveness of a treatment, and we want you to be satisfied. If you are having an issue between scheduled visits, we want to solve it right away.
We do our best to get a technician out the same day or the next day, depending on our schedule. Whether you need a one-time treatment before an outdoor event or want to start seasonal service, call us at 984-223-8490 and we will get you on the calendar as quickly as possible.
No. We made a deliberate decision not to fog. Foggers send product drifting through the air and onto neighboring properties, and they require gas-powered equipment that adds emissions. Instead, we apply liquid treatments directly to the lawn and landscape where mosquitoes actually rest and breed. This approach gives better coverage, lasts longer, and is more responsible to the environment and your neighbors.
