Invicta Pest Control was built by a family that understands what’s at stake when pests invade your home. After we adopted two of our five children and saw the conditions they’d been living in, we made a promise: no family should ever have to share their home with pests. That personal mission drives everything we do, including how we handle ant problems across the Raleigh, NC area.
Ants are colony insects. Kill the ones you can see, and thousands more are still working behind your walls, under your foundation, or in your yard. Store-bought sprays scatter the colony and make the problem harder to solve. Our team brings 20+ years of hands-on experience and a Board Certified Entomologist on staff to identify the species, locate the colony, and treat it at the source.
Most pest control companies show up and spray. We do things differently. Our approach follows a “liquid last, not first” philosophy, meaning we start with targeted, low-impact methods and only use liquid treatments where they’re actually needed. We focus on crack-and-crevice applications rather than broad spraying, which keeps products away from your living spaces while still eliminating the colony.
We also skip the granules entirely. Granules can be picked up by kids, tracked in by shoes, or carried off by pets. Instead, we treat the perimeter of your home, target foraging trails, and place professional-grade baits in high-activity areas. Every treatment is customized to the species of ant in your home, because what works for fire ants in the yard won’t necessarily work for odorous house ants in the kitchen.
We start with a thorough inspection inside and out. Inside, we check carpet edges, doors, windows, and your kitchen. Outside, we examine your foundation, vegetation, and mulch beds. This helps us identify the exact species and find the best path to elimination.
Inside your home, we concentrate on voids, cracks, and crevices where ants actually nest and travel. Different ant species have different habits, so we customize every interior treatment to the species we've identified. No broad spraying, no unnecessary chemical exposure.
We carefully treat the perimeter of your home, focusing on foraging trails found during inspection and placing professional ant baits in high-traffic areas. No granules, ever. Once the exterior treatment dries (about 10-15 minutes), the area is ready for your family and pets.

Ant control is just one piece of what we do. Invicta Pest Control offers recurring pest control on a triannual schedule (three visits per year instead of the industry-standard quarterly), which means fewer chemical applications and better long-term results. We also handle mosquito control, termite protection, wildlife exclusion, crawl space encapsulation, and more. If something is bugging you, we can help.
We’re a mom-owned, family-focused pest control company with real credentials behind us. Our team includes a Board Certified Entomologist, an Environmental Scientist, and a Wildlife Biologist. That kind of in-house expertise is rare in the pest control industry, and it shows in how we approach every job.
We invest in premium products so we can reduce the number of applications your home needs. Our triannual schedule saves you money while delivering better results than cheaper, more frequent treatments.
If ants come back between scheduled visits, so do we, at no extra charge. We also offer same-day or next-day service for urgent issues. Your satisfaction is not negotiable.
We started this company because of our own kids. That personal connection to family safety drives every decision we make, from the products we choose to the way we treat your home.
We use targeted crack-and-crevice treatments on the inside, keeping products out of reach of children and pets. On the outside, we never use granules, so there is nothing for little hands, shoes, or paws to pick up. Once our exterior treatment dries, typically in 10 to 15 minutes, it is safe for your family and pets to be in the area.
